Springfield Illinois DCCW, (Springfield, IL)

The Springfield Illinois DCCW held its 96th Annual Convention on October 1at at St. Paul’s in Highland.  Guest speaker Claire Dwyer, author of This Present Paradise, deepened our interest and understanding of St Elizabeth of the Holy Trinity. Claire’s words brought St. Elizabeth to life. We also enjoyed the miraculous survival story of author Judith V Rooney. Bishop Paprocki celebrated Mass with 250 women in attendance and a collection was taken up for St Paul’s sister parish in Haiti. A buffet luncheon, silent auction, vendors, prayer tree, and pot of gold raffle were also included in the days activities.
