Greater Meriden CCW (Meriden, CT)
The Greater Meriden Council of Catholic Women is hosting Stations of the Cross at 12 noon at St. Stanislaus chapel, St. Faustina Church. This event is well-received, especially by those who prefer daytime participation. GMCCW members take turns leading the service as part of our Lenten Mission. All are welcome.
Milwaukee ACCW (Milwaukee, WI)
Members from the Milwaukee Archdiocesan CCW honored several mothers of clergy members from the Milwaukee Archdiocese at the 3rd annual Tea for Moms of Seminarians and Priests. A delicious lunch of homemade tea sandwiches and desserts were provided by members of the board. A mother of two priests shared her heartwarming experience of her sons from their youth and when they discerned their journey to the priesthood. Fr. Brad Krawczyk, our spiritual advisor who teaches at the seminary, assured the mothers of how much their sons love them and speak of them. Everyone looks forward to this event each year.
Atlanta Province (Atlanta, GA)
On December 6, 2025 Alizon McLaughlin was awarded the Gartland Award. Alizon is a CCW member of The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah GA. Alizon has served on the Council of Catholic Women in various levels wherever the council has needed her over the years. She has served as President for The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah CCW President on both the Deanery and Diocesan levels and currently serves as the Province of Atlanta Secretary/Treasurer. The Bishop Gartland Recognition of Service is an honor bestowed by the Diocese of Savannah on persons who have given distinguished service to the Church in the spirit of its first bishop, Right Rev. Francis X. Gartland.
Our Lady of Fatima CCW, Alcoa, TN
On February 15, 2026, Our Lady of Fatima CCW held its first Family/Friends Game Day. They provided lunch after mass, fun and engaging games for children and adults, and free raffle prizes. It was a well spent day having fun and fellowship with their parishioners.
St. Boniface CCW (Springfield, GA)
St. Boniface CCW (Springfield, GA) hosted a yard sale on February 6 and 7. This year’s sale was different since it was decided not to sell clothing or shoes. There were great deals on dining room sets, bedroom furniture, kitchenware, books, jewelry and purses. Proceeds from the sale will go toward future renovations needed to the church property. It was also a good opportunity to recruit new members to attend CCW meetings.
Savannah Deanery CCW (Savannah, GA)
On Saturday, January 24, the Savannah Deanery CCW hosted a luncheon at the Cathedral of St. John in Savannah. Melissa Wacter, President of the Savannah Diocesan CCW, spoke about the meetings she has attended and the activities going on within the Savannah Diocese. The theme of the luncheon was to carry on the mission of the National Council of Catholic Women through Spirituality, Leadership and Service. Attendees were encouraged to bring a variety of socks which were contributed to the Cathedral King’s Men Divine Care Kit. Three of the members of the Cathedral King’s Men spoke about their newly formed organization and said that anyone interested could share information about the organization with their parish.
St. Mary’s Christian Women (Elm Grove, WI)
St. Mary’s Christian Women held their annual “Advent by Candlelight” nights again this year. Twenty hostesses decorated their tables and invited their guests to a beautiful evening. Readings, reflections, and lovely music helped everyone prepare their minds and hearts for the coming of our Savior.
Our Lady of Fatima CCW (Alcoa,TN)
On January 12, 2026 OLOF CCW presented The Golden Rose Award to four young ladies ages ranging from 14-19yrs old that exemplified spirituality, leadership and service in our parish and community. The evening began with dinner hosted by OLOF CCW members and was followed by the presentation of awards which consisting of a certificate, a golden rose necklace, a wearable Knoxville Diocesan CCW logo button, and a years subscription to NCCW. We ended the evening with a talk from Deacon Bill Jacobs on the 7 Sacraments. Pictured are the Golden Rose Award recipients with their mothers. Springfield Illinois DCCW, (Springfield, IL)
The Springfield Illinois DCCW held its 96th Annual Convention on October 1at at St. Paul’s in Highland. Guest speaker Claire Dwyer, author of This Present Paradise, deepened our interest and understanding of St Elizabeth of the Holy Trinity. Claire’s words brought St. Elizabeth to life. We also enjoyed the miraculous survival story of author Judith V Rooney. Bishop Paprocki celebrated Mass with 250 women in attendance and a collection was taken up for St Paul’s sister parish in Haiti. A buffet luncheon, silent auction, vendors, prayer tree, and pot of gold raffle were also included in the days activities.
